Established by the United Nations, the International Day of Older Persons (IDOP), held on 1 October, is an international day that celebrates the contributions, skills, and actions of older people in our communities. The Albert-Eden Local Board celebrates IDOP for a fortnight every year, coordinating a community-led programme of age-friendly events, services, and activities. Small grants are available to cover the costs of the events.
